April 2018 Open House/Sunday School

Apr 29, 2018

7 Belvidere St, Brooklyn, NY

“The world that I want, I can see. I can see it very clearly. It's just a matter of figuring out how to support it”.

Following up on January’s 5 day session of Utopia School, a small group of organizers have been convening in Bushwick to discuss what an ongoing, permanent free-school might look like in New York City, and to build toward that goal. There are several free educational projects in the New York City region. How can we work together to support one another? On April 29th, we will gather around this issue, as well as some other fun and necessary classes, all for free!

We are thinking of education in a broad sense as a community invested in supporting one another’s development of skills for survival in the world as it is.

This open house is a precursor to a season of Sunday school classes, so please feel free to contribute class ideas, ideas for framework and anything else that you feel should be part of an ongoing free learning project.

To propose a class, please visit utopiaschool.org and fill out the form!

To get involved, suggest changes to the structure/goals, please message us. We want you to shape this project!

Also: ** We are interested in hosting classes in Spanish and generally organizing for non-english speakers. If you are too, to please write us...
